How do I know if I’ll like your furniture?
- This is a great question! It all
starts with you ... select a style and fabric from
our website. Then order a swatch of the fabric
you have selected, and we will send it immediately. This allows you the
opportunity to make sure that the fabric is the one you want.
When you order from Carolina Chair, your furniture is manufactured by our skilled
craftspeople. We believe in our furniture’s quality and thus guarantee our product with our great warranties. (Custom orders are not returnable.) We believe, whole-heartedly, that you
will love your Carolina Chair furniture!
What is it that truly sets carolinachair.com apart from
other online furniture websites?
- We manufacture our furniture. This is why our motto is “come
straight to the source!” We want to develop a one on one relationship with our
customers. We want to answer your questions and, yes, we do have the answers
because we are the manufacturer.
- We sell only to you ... the end consumer.
- We have a “source” price ... your best price. Because the Internet lets us
communicate directly with our customers, we get to offer our furniture at what we
have tagged a “source” price. By coming straight to us, you receive the

- Your furniture is custom made, and you will have it in your home
in about six weeks. Fabric swatches for our regular fabrics are free. Swatches for
special request fabrics are available for a nominal fee, redeemable upon order placement.

Do you really manufacture your own furniture or is this
just a gimmick?
- Yes, we manufacture your furniture right here in our Hickory, North Carolina factory. We
believe this offers you and us a win-win
situation. Being the manufacturer is the foundation of our concept. We
wouldn’t be able to offer you a “source-priced” product if we were not the
manufacturer. But yes, it is a truly unique situation ... we are the first furniture
manufacturer to sell exclusively on the Internet.
What's the difference between Carolina Chair and other Internet furniture retailers?
- Carolina Chair, Inc. is the furniture manufacturer. We deliver direct to you from our factory
floor. There are no stops in between. No stores, No hassles, No phony sales.
Internet furniture retailers sell furniture over the Internet in the same way furniture has been

have created at Carolina Chair. We needed a term that would describe how our
products were priced. Traditional pricing terms didn’t seem to apply to our
philosophy. At Carolina Chair our goal is to give you the highest quality per
your buying dollar. Our furniture has been designed with this philosophy. We
have accomplished this not only with our products but also with our
manufacturing and information systems. Being the quality furniture manufacturer
and truly creating a one-to-one personal communication channel with our
customers increases savings on both sides. These savings are unique and have
been passed on to you. From now on when you hear the term

Can you quote me prices for furniture that I am interested
in purchasing?
- Prices are on our website for our standard styles and dimensions. If you want to make changes in the style or the dimensions, e-mail us at info@carolinachair.com or call us at 1-800-653-9757 and let us know the changes you want to make. We will get back with you with a price quote for making the changes.
How do I order from Carolina Chair?
- You may order online, call us at 1-800-653-9757 or fax us at 1-828-459-1513.
What forms of payment do you accept?
- Carolina Chair accepts Visa,
MasterCard and Discover. Checks will be accepted via snail mail. We will begin
production of your
furniture when your check has been approved by your bank.

What are my options?
- All information is collected via our secure server and processed with Cybercash. We will confirm your order
and then you
will be contacted by our furniture delivery service when your order is shipped. You also may choose
to submit your order by phone. Please call us at 1-800-653-9757. Our
fulfillment specialists will be happy to assist you in selecting your new
Carolina Chair furniture.
How will I know when you’ve
received my order?
- Once you have placed your order, you will receive a
confirmation email listing your complete order by the end of the same
business day. We will also call you to personally to verify your order,
answer any questions you may have, and collect payment information for verification purposes.
Do you charge sales tax?
- Carolina Chair, Inc. is a North Carolina licensed business, and therefore is required to collect the current rate of sales tax for all orders from and deliveries to North Carolina. We will not charge sales tax for orders from and deliveries to other states. If you live outside the state of North Carolina, you need to comply with any applicable sales & use taxes in your state.
Does Carolina Chair provide financing?

- Optional cushions, backs and throw pillows - limited five year
- Sleeper mechanism – five year
- Sleeper mattress – seven year

Are optional cushions available?
- Yes. Contact us at 1-800-653-9757 if you would like a price quote on upgrading to an optional
cushioning package. Fiber-down and all-down are just two examples of optional cushioning for seats, backs
and pillows. Our optional cushioning carries a limited 5 year warranty.
How much do you charge for shipping and handling?
Can I pick up my furniture from your manufacturing facility
instead of having it shipped to me?
- Yes. We welcome you to come and
pick up your furniture. Please remember that we will be required to charge you
North Carolina sales tax (7%) in that event. (If you are a North Carolina resident,
we provide a small discount for customer pick-up.) If you are interested in picking up your furniture instead of having
it delivered, please call our 1-800-653-9757 for instructions.
Do you ship anywhere outside the 48 contiguous United
States?
- Currently we only ship to the 48 contiguous United
States. However, we can get your furniture to a shipper of your choice (within the continental U.S.) if you are willing to cover the costs of transporting your furniture from the shipper to your home. We can also assist in getting the estimate for you.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
- Once your order is confirmed, we will have your custom
furniture built and set up in your home in about 6 weeks. A member of our customer fulfillment
team will be happy to send you
updated information about your order as it goes through our manufacturing
facility.
Do I need to prepare for delivery of my furniture?
- Before your furniture is delivered
to your home, be sure to measure the area where your furniture will reside to
ensure a proper fit. Also, please
let your customer fulfillment team member know about any flights of stairs,
narrow doorways, low ceilings, etc. If you are unable to be home at the time of
delivery, please arrange for a responsible person to be there to inspect the
furniture and sign for acceptance.
Will you help me set up my furniture?
- With our free premium delivery service,
you get 15 minutes of labor to help unpack and set up your new furniture. If the
delivery agents are in your home for more than 15 minutes, an extra charge will apply and
will be payable by you to the delivery company. So please remember to be prepared and
have your home ready for your new furniture.
Can I have my furniture delivered on Saturdays?
- In some areas we can
arrange Saturday deliveries. Please call 1-800-653-9757 for availability and any extra costs that
may be incurred for special deliveries.
What if my furniture arrives damaged?
- Carolina Chair will make every
effort to have minor damage repaired without returning your furniture
to our manufacturing facility. However, if major damage has occurred, we will arrange
furniture pick-up and return at no cost to you. We will gladly replace the damaged furniture or
refund your money. If you choose to return an item in your order for a full refund, we will reimburse your credit
card as soon as possible. This normally occurs within one or two billing cycles.
Should I inspect my furniture when it arrives?
- Definitely. We want your furniture to be perfect when it arrives at your home. However,
if there are damages, please report them immediately to
info@carolinachair.com. In our experience,
most furniture can be repaired on site through an independent national network of furniture experts.
Please note that CarolinaChair.com will not be held responsible for any damage first reported to us
more than 30 days after delivery.
What if I need specific information such as dimensions?

Can I get a sample of fabric?

Do you accept customer's own material, customers own material (COM)?
- Yes, we do accept Customer’s Own Material (COM).
Many customer's choose this option. Here's how it works: The customer finds their perfect fabric at a local fabric store (or online), buys it, and ships it to us to use in the manufacturing process. We subtract out our embedded cost for fabric and give you a quote for manufacturing your furniture in your fabric! We'll also tell you how many yards of fabric to buy for the furniture pieces you want.
